ABOUT
Welcome to the Manning Valley Race Club and the Winning Post Function Centre.
Whether it’s a social day at the races with friends, special celebration occasion, hosting company staff or clients, a day at Taree races is the ideal opportunity to enjoy the fun and excitement of thoroughbred horse racing in the modern facilities which are available at the track.
If you are looking for a venue for your next ‘special event’ such as a business meeting, trade display or conference, wedding or other special occasion celebration, the Winning Post Function Centre can cater up to 300 people and is the ideal venue for your next special event. We also have two other function areas;
-
The air conditioned Corey Brown Pavilion which can seat up to 100 people and
-
The Cooplacurripa Bar and Dining Area which can seat up to 80 people.
My staff and I look forward to welcoming you to a day at the races or to arrange your ‘special event’ or occasion and make it a memorable one for you and your guests.

About the Club
The Manning Valley Race Club is one of New South Wales most picturesque tracks and is only minutes from the Taree city centre on the northern side of town. It is regarded as one of the best venues to watch racing on the East Coast of New South Wales. It is conveniently situated in the City of Taree which is approx. 300kms north of Sydney on the beautiful Mid North Coast. Founded in 1831 by William Wynter, easily accessible via the Pacific Highway. It is around an hour’s drive from the NSW racing centre at Port Macquarie and around two hours north of Newcastle.
The population of the Manning Valley is approximately 49,000 people with just over half living in the two major centres of Taree and Wingham. Taree is now home to around 21,000 people and neighbouring towns of Wingham, Tinonee, Harrington and Old Bar form part of the City of Greater Taree.
